Elizabeth Castro,
Nurse Practitioner
Liz Castro is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who joined Southern California Kidney Consultants in January 2020, initially part-time, and transitioned to full-time in 2023.
​
Ms. Castro grew up in Corona, California, and now resides in Placentia. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) credentials following her undergraduate studies at Western University in Pomona. Before joining SCKC, she taught dialysis to new patient care technicians and nurses preparing for careers in the dialysis field.
Fluent in Spanish and conversational in Tagalog, Ms. Castro is dedicated to providing patient-centered kidney care to a diverse community. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her family, supporting her sons’ activities, and sharing a love of music with them.
Michiko Kayahara
Nurse Practitioner
Michiko Kayahara is a board-certified Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner who joined Southern California Kidney Consultants in May 2020. She provides comprehensive kidney care to patients across clinic and dialysis settings.
Originally from Osaka, Japan, Ms. Kayahara earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Fullerton, and her Master of Science in Nursing from California State University, Los Angeles. She is certified as an Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Fluent in Japanese, Ms. Kayahara is dedicated to providing patient-centered care and ensuring that her patients feel supported and understood throughout their treatment.
Lilimae Sotto,
Nurse Practitioner
Lilimae Sotto is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who joined Southern California Kidney Consultants in 2021. She provides care for patients in clinic and dialysis settings, bringing both clinical expertise and a patient-centered approach to kidney health.

Originally from Pampanga, Philippines, Ms. Sotto earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Angeles University Foundation and her Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University. She went on to complete her Nurse Practitioner training at Charles Drew University. In addition, she is a Certified Dialysis Nurse through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC).

Alongside her work at SCKC, Ms. Sotto serves as a full-time clinical coordinator at DaVita Dialysis, where she continues to expand her expertise in nephrology and dialysis care.
Fluent in English and Tagalog, she is dedicated to providing accessible, compassionate care to a diverse patient community.

Outside of medicine, Ms. Sotto enjoys watching Korean dramas, following the NBA, especially the Lakers, and relaxing with massages and visits to the Korean spa.
Jennifer Stoddard,
Nurse Practitioner
Jennifer V. Stoddard is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who joined Orange County Renal Medical Group, now part of Southern California Kidney Consultants, in 2019. She has extensive experience in nephrology and is especially interested in chronic kidney disease education and peritoneal dialysis.

Ms. Stoddard earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from United Doctors Medical Center and Colleges in Manila, Philippines, in 1996. After moving to the United States in the early 2000s, she worked as a registered nurse caring for chronic and acute dialysis patients with Kaiser Permanente and DaVita. Continuing her passion for nephrology, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles, becoming a Nurse Practitioner in 2017.

Fluent in Tagalog, Ms. Stoddard is dedicated to providing patient-centered kidney care and empowering patients through education.
​
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her children, traveling, scuba diving, and watching football. She is a passionate fan of the sport and especially admires Tom Brady.
Jaycee Yriarte,
Nurse Practitioner
Jaycee “JC” Yriarte is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who joined Southern California Kidney Consultants in 2021. She provides care for patients in both clinic and dialysis settings, with a focus on patient education and long-term kidney health.
Ms. Yriarte grew up at Nichols Air Base before moving to the United States in 1979. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Phoenix and is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She has also participated in medical research related to nephrology, with interests in dialysis and chronic kidney disease management.

Fluent in English, Pilipino, and Spanish, Ms. Yriarte is passionate about providing accessible and compassionate care to a diverse patient population.
​
Outside of work, she enjoys shopping, spending time with her kids, and sharing in their love of anime and K-pop.
